Azuma knitting machine was one of the first machines from the 1970s, a period when loopwheel knitting machines were replaced by high-speed knitting machines. It is a rare and valuable machine, with only a few remaining. Its extremely slow knitting speed means it can only knit one or two bolts of fabric per day, making it a low-productivity machine. Its slow speed allows for a soft, fluffy texture.
