Supreme anglers, Ospreys are found on every continent except Antarctica. These rangy hawks hunt for fish with long, hooked talons, their yellow eyes studying the water below. In North America, their numbers have recovered dramatically since the ban on the pesticide DDT. They often build their nests on man made platforms and other artificial structures, returning to them year after year.
