ENGINEER BOOT

Based on a pair of vintage boots owned by Jelado's Goto, believed to be from the 1950s.  These vintage boots have a single leather sole, a low heel, and low set edges on both sides.  The heel features a vamp that touches the counter pocket, a slightly thicker shaft, a reverse-curved buckle, and a pointed tip.  Features such as the strap end at the opening and the gusset at the heel of the opening are typical of the same era.  While utilizing unique details that differ from typical designs, the shoe last has been changed and the toe cap has been eliminated.  The base of the strap on the instep has been curved, and black horsebutt leather with a brown core has been used, among other things.
